Product detailed description
Hends Shellback - Czech nymph fly tying material
The Hends Shellback is a versatile 6 mm wide foil material designed to create realistic shell backs and segmented bodies on a wide range of fly patterns. Its iridescent shine reflects light underwater, adding subtle attraction and lifelike depth to your flies.
Perfect for tying Czech nymphs, mayfly nymphs, and freshwater shrimp (gammarus) patterns, Shellback is commonly used to imitate the natural carapace found on aquatic insects and crustaceans. It can also be used for streamer bodies and larger flies, where the reflective surface enhances visibility and realism.
Flexible and easy to work with, Hends Shellback helps fly tyers achieve natural segmentation and durable bodies on many popular trout and grayling patterns.
